NCH Baker Hospital Receives Level Three Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from ACEP
NCH is thrilled to announce that it has attained a prestigious Level Three Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) for the D. Graham Copeland Emergency Center located at the NCH Baker Hospital in downtown Naples. It is the only accredited Level Three Geriatric Emergency Department in Southwest Florida. This recognition reflects our hospital’s commitment to providing exceptional care to the geriatric population.
The Level Three Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation underscores NCH Baker Hospital’s dedication to addressing the unique needs of geriatric patients in emergency situations. This achievement reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes within our community.
NCH has been transforming itself into an Advanced Community Healthcare SystemTM with a sharp focus on quality patient outcomes as well as an elevated patient experience for patients of all ages. The recent accreditation as a Level Three Geriatric Emergency Department is further evidence by a national organization recognizing our healthcare system’s journey to excellence.
“We are honored to have received this accreditation, which acknowledges our team’s hard work and dedication to providing specialized care for our senior patients,” said Paul Hiltz, President & CEO of NCH (FEATURED PHOTO). “This achievement is a testament to our commitment to delivering the highest standards of care to all members of our community.”
The accreditation process involved a comprehensive evaluation of various aspects of our emergency department, including staff training, equipment, protocols, and the overall environment. By meeting the stringent criteria set forth by ACEP, NCH Baker Hospital has demonstrated its proficiency in delivering geriatric-sensitive care.
As the population ages, the importance of geriatric-focused medical services becomes increasingly evident.
