Lends support to Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs’ Heroes Fund

Day Adjusting & Consulting is excited to announce they have donated $5,000 to Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs to help support the Heroes Fund which was created to assist Veterans, first responders and their assistance dogs immediately following Hurricane Ian.

Blake Day, Owner of Day Adjusting & Consulting heard of the Heroes Fund and wanted to get involved as he has seen what storm damage can do to a community as well as to the mental and physical well-being of those who go through a disaster.

“Our Veterans deserve as much help as we can give them,” said Day. “Going through a disaster can add so much stress to anyone’s life and we want to lend help where we can. We support the Heroes Fund because it’s just the right thing to do. Our Veterans have given so much, we all need to chip in and help where we can.”

The critical needs program supports recipients and their dogs and is a unique fund that delivers peace of mind to meet the multi-level nutritional support and the veterinary needs of their canine partner. The fund also assists in meeting any emergent, life altering needs for the recipients and their families.

“Our recipients should never have to worry about financial constraints to meet their critical needs,” says Jeannie Bates, Founder and CEO of Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs. “After Hurricane Ian, we had our recipients in need of emergency funds to help with their homes, roofs, supplies and the basic necessities so we immediately went to work to meet their needs.”

Founded in 2012, Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs is designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that provides highly skilled service or assistance dogs to combat wounded Veterans, first responders, and children with life-changing disabilities.
