Art After Dark

The Arts are being recognized as an important element of Southwest Florida more and more each year. Naples downtown art scene has been influenced strongly over the years by its hosting of events in Cambier Park and on the streets including 5th Avenue South and 3rd Street South.

There is a nice variety of art galleries in these areas, as well as a growing representation of art in the Design District, on 41, a few side streets off of 5th and 3rd business districts, as well as the area where commercial enterprise started in Naples, Crayton Cove. Along with the galleries in the Heart of Naples, there are some art galleries and studios throughout the county including areas like Bayshore, The Triangle, the industrial area called Naples Art District and some of the commercial shopping centers. At this time, there is more representation of local practicing artists in these aforementioned parts of Naples than ever in its history.

As we see the pandemic ease up, we are hearing of more outdoor art shows, musical productions and theaters slowly offering their specialties back to the public which help create a sense of
“normalcy”. The Arts are a very important aspect of society and it’s reassuring that it is “alive and well” in Naples!

One of the highlights in the Naples art world is the Phil Fisher Gallery/Guess-Fisher Gallery, located in Crayton Cove. This month they are featuring paintings of “Water, Sand and Sky”,
some of the favorite reasons to be here. “Art After Dark” is still on hold, but the galleries are open daily, 1:00-ish to 7:00-ish.

Crayton Cove is The Heart of Naples Bay, where 8th St S and 12th Ave S meet at the flagpole.
