About Kristy Schoen Pollard

Born in Pasadena, California, and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Kristy earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and Spanish from Bucknell University (Pennsylvania) and an MBA from the University of Central Florida. She spent eight years working in healthcare marketing and events while dedicating much of her time to volunteer and community leadership.

Throughout the years, Kristy has been actively involved in a variety of nonprofit and community organizations. Her volunteer experience includes serving meals weekly at the Boys & Girls Club in Tallahassee and participating in the Tallahassee Junior League. Since relocating to Naples in 2017, she has served on the board of the Naples Ski Club and became active in the Pelican Bay Women’s Association and Covenant Church of Naples. She presently serves on the board of the Schoen Foundation.

The Schoen Foundation, established in 1993, was created to fund Christian organizations, homeless causes (including food and housing insecurity), educational initiatives and veteran support. The foundation has a deep interest in supporting young people aging out of foster care by funding life skills, higher education, and technical training.

Kristy’s connection to Fostering Success was inspired by former Board Chair Elaine Rubin Moorin and her passion for helping foster youth. The mission of Fostering Success closely aligns with the Schoen Foundation’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives, addressing housing insecurity, and helping young people build stable futures. She is especially passionate about supporting youth aging out of foster care through life-skills development, higher education, and workforce training opportunities.

When she isn’t volunteering, Kristy enjoys walks on the beach, Pilates, spending time with her family, and sharing a good meal with friends. She is the proud mother of two adult children, Jessica and Walker.
