Galleries of Crayton Cove – April 2015
April is one of those months that residents look forward to each year. The weather is quite nice and the roads become almost bearable again, at least the lines for restaurants are not as long. We get that chance to visit areas around Naples that we avoided for the last three months.
If one of those areas was Crayton Cove, now is the time to visit or revisit this charming waterfront commercial area that has retained the feel that Naples had 35 plus years ago that enticed many of us to stay and call this our home.
As Naples has built up and changed, Crayton Cove has held its historic feel that is evident as one strolls the city dock and enjoys a bite to eat at one of our award winning restaurants. The culture is abounding here as this area boasts the only professional artist community in Old Naples that features a handful of Naples most renowned resident artists.
This special business niche is home to The Galleries of Crayton Cove and some of the best restaurants in Naples; Bleu Provence, Chet Boet,
The Dock At Crayton Cove, The Neighborhood Café and Napolis On The Bay. The Galleries of Crayton Cove are made up of 9 Galleries and art related businesses that have come together to present artwork in their galleries and studios that are created here and represent some of the best interpretations of Naples and surrounding areas anywhere. Phil Fisher Gallery, Arsenault Gallery, Nora Butler Designs, ArtGallery OldNaples2, Naples Ships Store, Earth & Fire, Vintage Charm, Random Acts of Art and Guess-Fisher Gallery are open consistent regular business hours to come and view their beautiful art. As a special opportunity for the public, the Galleries of Crayton Cove also offer a fun evening called “Art After Dark” when the galleries are all open and offering refreshments and live music in various locations, for the enjoyment of all. The Phil Fisher Gallery and Guess-Fisher Gallery will have “The Breezeways,” a well known group of musicians with a comedic twist that is quite entertaining, performing in their galleries, which is a special treat!
Art After Dark is from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday April 11, 2015. Come and experience a festive cultural happening the Old Naples way! The Galleries Of Crayton Cove are a community of professional artists all within a one-block walk where 8th St. S. & 12th Ave. S. meet at the flagpole by the Bay.
