A unique vision to produce a healthy exotic snack came to fruition when The Popcorn Cellar opened its doors on October 26, 2013.

Triggered by a visit to Mackinac Island, MI, owners Patti Fortune and Jeremy Domin decided to open a gourmet handmade popcorn shop in downtown Naples, FL.

What makes this popcorn a cut above the rest are the unique characteristics of the kernel and its quality ingredients. The Popcorn Cellar uses a gourmet mushroom kernel rather than the butterfly kernel, which pops big and round not sideways.

Kernels are naturally gluten and GMO free and cooked with healthier sustainable coconut oil. The kernels are moved over an air table to cool off prior to packaging on-site.

The top seller is caramel swirl with triple chocolate as a close runner up. Savory flavors such as truffle parmesan cheese and salt & vinegar are local favorites. Candy coated flavors such as caramel swirl, strawberry cheesecake and cinnamon bun, are a hit with children and adults alike. As tastes and flavors are continually evolving chili con queso has been phased out, while hot wings and banana have been reintroduced.

All core flavors are offered throughout the year and available in a selection of sizes ranging from standard, large to magnum. One unique element of The Popcorn Cellar is the specialty flavors offered seasonally packaged in 9 oz. bags. Champagne and hot cocoa popcorn were offered throughout the holiday season and were enjoyed by all. Strawberry cheesecake was reintroduced prior to Valentine’s Day and remains on the menu. For St. Patrick’s Day specialty coco puffs and peppermint with chocolate drizzle were offered. Banana has been reintroduced for the spring season and it is rumored watermelon may again reappear on the menu.

Building a solid foundation by focusing their business on a local level The Popcorn Cellar has also been a noted contributor to the Naples community.

Recently hosting a school benefit with Mason Classical Academy a Hillsdale College Charter School, the top selling class had the opportunity to visit the Popcorn Cellar and witness the cooking process from start to finish.
