Sukie Honeycutt Opens Second Wine Shop on Venetian Bay

Sukie HoneycuttVinophiles of all levels of appreciation have a new place to shop for wine in Naples starting Saturday, November 1, 2014.

Long-time local wine personality and wine expert Sukie Honeycutt, along with her business partner Tony Ridgway, will open Sukie’s Wine Shop at the Village with a selection of premium and everyday drinking wines.

Since 1979, Sukie Honeycutt has crafted the wine lists for over thirteen local restaurants including The Chef ’s Garden, Villa Pescatore, Ridgway Bar & Grill and Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar. Over those years, Honeycutt has garnered attention and awards for her wine lists and currently holds consecutive recognition by the Wine Spectator.

WineAs co-owners of Cuisine Management, Honeycutt and Ridgway opened Tony’s off Third Wine and Pastry Shop in 1995, which features over 1,200 wines. Honeycutt’s numerous annual wine tastings and insightful “Sukie Recommends” reviews help wine enthusiasts become familiar with specific producers, regions and varietals. Honeycutt is also well regarded in the industry, and often lauded for her impeccable palate and connections with winemakers.

“I jumped at the opportunity to open a wine shop in the Village,” says owner Sukie Honeycutt. “My new shop is in a very convenient location and this will make it easier
for residents to shop for wines that can’t be found in a supermarket.”

Sukie’s Wine Shop at the Village opened Saturday, November 1. The new store is located next to Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar at 4280 Gulf Shore Boulevard North in the Village on Venetian Bay. Business hours are Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The store’s new website
