PERFORMANCE FABRICS The New Home Superhero

With the active lives of families in the 21st century, home furnishings need to stand up to their needs. Today, more and more upholstery companies are making this easier by adding a wide array of performance fabrics
to their lines.

Under a variety of brand names like, Crypton and Inside/Outside, performance fabrics are increasingly available in all the on-trend colors, textures and prints. Made entirely of man-made fibers, these textiles stand up to the wear and tear modern families throw at them. Resistant to stains, spills, and pets, they don’t hold odors and are super easy to clean. Spill red wine? A performance fabric is none the worse for the wear!

Given so many people are working and playing more and more at home these days, it’s more important than ever for our furniture to work for us as well. These fabrics can be used on upholstery, drapery, outdoor furniture, and even many rug companies are producing rugs with these super fibers. If ever we’ve needed a superhero in our home, it’s definitely been 2020! Here’s hoping your 2021 is as easy to keep as these fabulous performance textiles.
