My Farewell to Shakespeare

This year, we here at Kitchens by Clay have been enjoying our 25th year of business in Collier County. My personal career, including the work I refer to as my apprenticeship, brings me to 32 years of service to the homeowners, builders, and developers of Collier and Lee counties as well as Marco Island.

I am very proud of the work we have done and especially proud of the work that we continue to do for our community. I have truly enjoyed the adventures I’ve had and the people I’ve met while in the business of designing, building and installing cabinetry of every size and shape as well as color and texture throughout my tenure.

It is said (and I’m paraphrasing here) that if you love what you do, you haven’t worked a day in your life. I can assure you that has been my life since the day I walked into a shop to help build cabinets on my first day 32 years ago.

Building the Kitchens by Clay brand has been very successful. Our success is due to the effort we put out as a team to assure that our clients are truly happy at every step of the process. From the moment we meet our clients for the first time and through the design process to the installation and final punch out we endeavor to provide excellence, and we do.

My family oriented team is as fine a team as any assembled; I can assure you of that.

I would like to give my publisher, Reg, a shout out of gratitude. It was he who suggested and made it possible for me to write these articles, a job I’ve looked forward to doing monthly for more than 15 years. He refers to me as his Shakespeare, which I believe to be a form of “writers license” as I’m certainly not nearly as talented as good old Shakespeare. However, with that said, this will be my last article for the foreseeable future.

I am in the process of turning my responsibilities over to my team with all the confidence that they will keep the Kitchen by Clay banner flying in front of our store.

For those of you who have read one of my articles and especially for those of you who have read many, I want to thank you. In addition, I wish to thank all my clients, past and present, as well as my team at Kitchens by Clay.

I look forward to the future successes that my team will have in the kitchen design business for many more years.
