Immokalee Foundation Launches “Family Society” Monthly Giving Program
Give monthly and help transform the life of a student in Immokalee.
The Immokalee Foundation has launched a new monthly giving initiative called “The Family Society.” Monthly donations begin at just $25 and will help provide support for The Immokalee Foundation’s life changing educational programs. “The Immokalee Foundation’s mission is to provide students the resources and the confidence to follow pathways to success,” said Noemi Y. Perez, President and CEO of The Immokalee Foundation. “Our programs provide educational and professional development opportunities that open students’ eyes to their personal potential and help them build a career that enables them to gain economic independence.”
The program serves as an alternative to annual giving and allows donors the opportunity to continue to make an impact month-to-month with meaningful gifts. Donation amounts include $25, $50, $75, $100, $250 and $500 and will help fund everything from classroom supplies and on-the-job equipment to college test preparation classes and a fundamentals of workplace readiness course at FGCU.
“Immokalee is a tight-knit community with an unwavering commitment to family. As so many of our staff members are from Immokalee, we are blessed to work surrounded by the same familial warmth” said Marie Rubenstein, Vice President of Philanthropy at The Immokalee Foundation. “As the Foundation has often helped multiple members of the same family, ‘The Family Society’ almost named itself. Through these monthly contributions, our new ‘extended family’ get to share in that warmth and sense of purpose.”
Donations are flexible—donors can give any amount each month or pledge an amount for an entire year. As an added bonus, Family Society members will receive exclusive gifts and invitations to special events. By expanding donation opportunities and making giving more accessible, the Foundation is optimistic that they will be able to grow their programming and serve more students.
“Currently we serve over 1,300 students annually beginning in kindergarten and providing support all the way through a student’s postsecondary education,” said Perez. “The need for our services only continues to grow in Immokalee and our ultimate goal is to continue to expand to provide more and more students with our transformational services.”
