Good Fortune to be Fortunate

We are coming around to the end of 2021 and what a year it has been. The trials and tribulations of the last couple of years have been many and I am sure still loom large in our minds. And wouldn’t it be nice if we could be sure all will be well starting January 1st in 2022?

Unfortunately, I’m thinking that might not be the case so we must soldier on. The way I see it, the best way to endure the unforeseen changes in our collective lives is to put our best foot forward.

This Christmas season, more than ever before, I would encourage us all to be a bit more patient, a bit more kind, and a lot more considerate of others as we are all going through this topsy turvy time together. If you think about it, there isn’t a place we could go where all that is happening to us now won’t be happening elsewhere.

Our collective beds have been made for us but that doesn’t mean we can’t offset the negativity simply by slowing down and looking to our friends, family and neighbors for kind words and deeds while we ourselves offer the sesame things back to those who surround us.

I would encourage us all to embrace our own lives and turn our negatives into our own positives one day, one hour at a time. I believe that just one person with a kind heart and loving personality can affect even complete strangers throughout the day simply by being there.

So, this Christmas season I am wishing for more kindness and love, compassion and patience, so that I can, by example, spread goodwill to those who I encounter in the new year. Please remember that we all have the good fortune to be fortunate within us. So, let’s spread this around and watch it come back to us.

I wish all of you out there a very Merry Christmas, a healthy and profitable New Year and may God Bless Us All.

Enjoy your home!
