Waterside Shops’ 2018 Coins for a Cause Program to Benefit Avow Foundation 

NAPLES, Fla. – 1/18/18 – Waterside Shops, the Gulf Coast’s premiere shopping and dining destination, is pleased to announce that Avow is the center’s 2018 Coins for a Cause program recipient.

“When you make your wish and toss change into the fountains at Waterside Shops, you’re helping make miracles happen in our community,” explains Anne Fleming, Waterside Shops General Manager. “This year, every coin tossed into our fountains will support the life-affirming work of Avow.”

Coins collected from January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018, will benefit Avow’s palliative care consultations for adults facing chronic or serious illnesses, hospice care patients and bereavement support services for children and adults.

Avow was founded in 1983 as Collier County’s original, nonprofit hospice. In addition to providing hospice services in the home and at Frances Georgeson Hospice House, their nonprofit also provide palliative care consultations for adults facing chronic or serious illness and bereavement support services for children and adults. Coins for a Cause is one of several programs Waterside Shops offers to support local nonprofit organizations.

In 2017, support of the Coins for a Cause initiative, as well as matching funds by Waterside Shops and William Raveis Real Estate, provided the Conservancy of Southwest Florida $6,000 to protect Southwest Florida’s land, water and wildlife.
