Unwanted YELLOW tones in blondes

Yellow tones happen for a reason. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin, which is yellow in tone. The darker your natural hair is the harder it is to remove the yellow tone. There are several things we can do in the salon to help remove yellow tones, however they are temporary. The best thing to do is combat it yourself at home.

blondeThe complimentary color to yellow is violet. So the best way to combat the yellow at home is with a shampoo that has violet pigment. I will caution you to not overdo it. Violet shampoos can deposit too much color into the hair. What effects the deposit of tones is porosity, texture, and density. No one color pigment shampoo can fit every need, which is why we at Salon Zenergy have a system that allows us to custom
blend a shampoo to fit your personal hair needs.

If you want to know if custom blended color shampoo is for you please feel to call, email, or stop by.
