Two Lucky Bidders Can Snag the World’s Most Desirable Sports Cars
Naples, FL – October 18, 2016 – Guests to the Naples Winter Wine Festival will be blown away by the breathtaking speed and striking beauty of two limited-edition sports cars that are up for auction this year: The Audi MY18 R8 Spyder—the first to be physically delivered in the US—and the McLaren 570 GT, the most luxurious McLaren ever produced. The 17th annual Naples Winter Wine Festival is scheduled for January 27-29, 2017 at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, FL.
“The Naples Winter Wine Festival is known for offering items that are truly unique, and these two fabulous cars further solidify that reputation,” said Scott Lutgert, co-chair of the 2017 Naples Winter Wine Festival. “We are proud to provide experiences and items like no others for our generous guests, all of whom are helping build bright futures for thousands of kids in need.”
The 2018 R8 Spyder is one of Audi’s finest automobiles, boasting the latest design and state-of-the-art technology. The car’s interior, nestled within the newly developed ASF® aluminum and carbon fiber construction, is designed to look and feel like a race car with driver-operated controls and functions. Commands can be made in the blink of an eye from the fully digital virtual cockpit, which features a 12.3-inch monitor depicting all information in high-resolution 3D graphics. A Bang & Olufsen Sound System with 13 loudspeakers (including the new head-restraint loudspeakers) brings crystal-clear quality to any soundtrack, magnifying the driver’s feeling of exhilaration as the V10 engine leaps from 0 to 62.1 miles per hour in a blinding 3.6 seconds.
The 2017 McLaren 570 GT brings a perfect balance of comfort and power to its most refined vehicle ever produced. The clean Silica White exterior and warm Saddle Tan interior make a sophisticated statement, which is complemented perfectly by the shine of the GT cast silver wheels and Iron silver brake calipers. With a top speed of 204 miles per hour facilitated by an updated aerodynamic design, this car moves beyond sports car to super car without sacrificing comfort, as every feature both inside and out has been meticulously crafted to maximize drive ability and ease. For example, the increased glass area of the Panoramic Roof is coupled with an enhanced dual-zone air conditioning system to maintain optimum interior atmosphere while providing a unique visual driving experience. In addition, the Pirelli P Zero™ tires have been specially developed for this vehicle, with a patented technology that reduces in-cabin road noise by up to three decibels.
Guests to the Festival will be able to bid on many other high-end items, rare wines and far-flung travel experiences, with every dollar supporting a worthy cause. Since the event’s inception in 2001, the Naples Winter Wine Festival has raised more than $146 million for its founding organization, the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF), which has awarded grants to more than 40 non-profit organizations that have impacted the lives of over 200,000 children.
Ticket packages to the Naples Winter Wine Festival, limited to 580 guests, start at $10,000 per couple. A $25,000 package is also available that includes reserved seating for a party of four at a vintner dinner and under the tent.
