February in Naples is always a busy time! Except for a little construction noise, Crayton Cove is a wonderful place to be. Stroll out on the City Dock and enjoy the bay and its many treasures. Watch the pelicans gather in hopes of a fish from one of the charters cleaning fish just caught out in the Gulf. Stop in the many quaint shops and galleries to find a memory to take home. Experience the restaurant offerings that cover the bases from pizza to fine dining.

The second Saturday of each month offers an event that touts our talented musicians and artists. This month’s Art After Dark is Saturday February 11 from 6 – 9 p.m. where the public is welcome to come and enjoy. Phil Fisher Gallery is featuring works by Phil Fisher in this show titled “Chasing The Light” with live music by Alchemy. Random Acts of Art, Vintage Charm, Nora Butler Designs & Gallery, Earth & Fire, Naples Ships Store, Cove Inn Lobby 24/7 and Guess Fisher Gallery are participating with their own various events, as well.

Saturday, February 18, Guess-Fisher Gallery will host a special show opening for “St Maarten, Three Interpretations: Atkielski, Fisher & Guess.” The artists will be in attendance to tell the stories behind these beautiful paintings of St. Maarten and its surrounding waterscapes. Third On Canvas is an annual fundraising event where a number of artists, including Phil Fisher and Natalie Guess, will be painting on location on February 19 and 20 all around Old Naples so the public can watch them paint and have the chance to purchase them through the auction on Thursday February 23.

This event raises funds for PAWS Assistance Dogs. There are numerous art activities happening around Southwest Florida, but be sure to stop in and see the Galleries of Crayton Cove, a professional artist community in Old Naples by the Bay, all within a one-block walk, open daily, where 8th Street South and 12th Avenue South meet by the flagpole.
