NAMI Collier to Host Luncheon Featuring Zak Williams

As mental health issues remain in the forefront for so many and especially during the pandemic, NAMI Collier (National Alliance on Mental Illness) continues to bring hope and awareness to the community. With one in five Americas living with a mental health condition, NAMI’s services are needed now more than ever.

The raise awareness and funds, the local non-profit’s Hope Shines Luncheon fundraiser will be held at Arthrex One in Naples on Friday, December 10 and is open to the public.

Zak Williams, son of the late Robin Williams, will be the featured speaker. His story will paint a picture of his life and his passion for mental health advocacy.

“We are excited to welcome Zak Williams to Naples and have our luncheon guests learn why he is a NAMI and mental health advocate,” said NAMI Collier CEO Pamela Baker.  “We’re hoping for a great turnout to raise the funds we need to continue providing all of our services free of charge to those in need.”

The 2021 event will be the 14th annual fundraising luncheon hosted by NAMI Collier. Funds raised from the event will be used to continue free mental health offerings and services to the community.

“We have seen an incredible increase in the demand for mental health services over the past year,” said Baker.  “The need for mental health support continues to grow for both, adults and children, and we’re proud to be such a vital resource for our community.”
