Introducing Season 73 at The Naples Players

As we step into Season 73 at The Naples Players, I do so with deep gratitude and a sense of optimism for what theatre can offer us right now. This season is centered on connection: how it is formed, tested, broken, and renewed. At a time when many of us are craving opportunities to come together, these stories invite us to sit side by side, listen closely, and recognize what we share.

At The Naples Players, our mission is to build community through exceptional access to the power of theatre. Every season begins with that shared purpose, and Season 73 reflects it with intention. From sweeping musicals to intimate dramas, heartfelt comedies, and gripping mysteries, the works selected this year explore what it means to belong. They examine family ties and chosen communities, unlikely friendships, and moments of understanding that bridge the space between us.

Why these stories, and why now? Because beneath our differences, we share the same hopes, fears, and desire to be seen. Theatre has a unique ability to remind us of our shared humanity. These productions are meant to spark conversation, empathy, and connection. Some will make us laugh, others may challenge us, and many will move us deeply, but each one offers an opportunity to connect with something meaningful.

Season 73 also reflects the remarkable community that makes this work possible. With thousands of season ticket holders, more than 850 active volunteers, and one of the most ambitious production calendars in the country, The Naples Players operates at a scale matched by very few nonprofit theatres nationwide. Artists, volunteers, students, and professionals work side by side every day to create theatre that is deeply local and increasingly recognized beyond our region.

Connection at TNP extends far beyond the stage. Through education, inclusive programming, and partnerships with more than 45 community organizations, the impact of our work reaches people of all ages and backgrounds. Theatre here is not just something you watch, it is something you belong to.

I am proud to share the Season 73 lineup, a collection of stories that celebrate what unites us and explore resilience, compassion, humor, and hope through the power of human connection.
