Harness Stellar Business Partners – Imagine Solutions

imagine-solutions-logoThe excitement is building. People are talking. Everyone is preparing for the 2014 Imagine Solutions conference, which promises to be more engaging than ever. The conference is taking place February 24 from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in North Naples. As in years past, Imagine Solutions is partnering with the top minds in the world. And this year, the media partners associated with the event are unprecedented.

“Our national media content partners, major brands, we are partnering with us to access great speakers and create content that our attendees will remember for a lifetime,” says Randy Antik of media partners that include the BBC, CNBC, NOVA and National Geographic. “We have five major sessions, one of which has three parts and are finalizing the speakers.”

Imagine Solutions is an annual thought leader forum bringing world-class thought leaders to Naples. Hundreds of attendees gather to learn about the world’s most relevant issues and link learning with leadership. The session moderators this year will include superstars like National Geographic Traveler Editor-in-Chief Keith Bellows, Paula Apsell of NOVA and Stephen Petranek – all of whom will moderate sessions.

The conference theme in 2014 is “Ignite Your Mind!” One session will be “The Greatest Challenge for Science in the 21st Century.” NOVA’s Paula Apsell will moderate this session which will include four top leaders of the Brain Initiative. In another session, “What can we learn from history?” Weider History Group Executive Editor Stephen Petranek will moderate a session which includes National Republic Senior Editor Richard Brookhiser (author of 13 history books), Rick Atkinson (author of nine history books) and David Duncan (author of eight history books) and one other to be named.

In the session on education, Ted Mitchell will curate “Revolution in Education” and touch on the hottest topic in education today, online education. In the pre-school category attendees will hear about Kidaptive from CEO P.J. Gunsager and the K – 12 category Learnzillion founder Eric Westendorf will take the stage. At the college level attendees will hear from Coursera co-founder Andrew Ng.

“An Audacious Potpourri” is one of the most exciting additions to the Imagine Solutions 2014 line-up of programming. In the ‘Amazing People under 20’ category, Jack Andraka, ‘the teen prodigy of pancreatic cancer’ and Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, the youngest person ever admitted to Juilliard at age 12 will inspire attendees with their stories of triumph and adversity. Talia Leman, who at the age of 10 raised $10 million for Hurricane Katrina victims and is the founder of “Random Kids,” will also be among these enterprising young people.

“This is the first year we’re having such a varied age range speaking at Imagine Solutions,” says Antik. “People are already talking about their incredible stories and the difference they are making in their communities and the world beyond.”

Speakers who fall under the leadership and inspiration category always leave a lasting impression on attendees and the 2014 conference is no exception. Kim Gandy will speak about domestic violence in partnership with the Shelter for Abused Women. And Mike Gunton executive producer of BBC’s “Africa” documentary is sure to deliver plenty of goose bumps.

“Matt Harding, from the “Where in the hell is Matt?” internet phenomenon is another interesting part of the conference and will share his own global perspective,” says Antik.

One of the most exciting developments in this year’s conference is the return of Southwest Florida’s adopted native, Keith Bellows. Bellows captivated the hearts and minds of Floridians when he included the area in his book, “100 Places That Can Change Your Child’s Life.”

As the senior vice president and editor-in-chief National Geographic Traveler at the National Geographic Society, Bellows is the perfect choice to moderate the session on the future of exploration.

“This session is especially important and should be of interest to all of us,” says Antik. “We are a global family now.” The session will feature Carl Hoffman, Kenny Broad, Peter McBride and one additional explorer-in-residence, discussing the topic, “What will exploration be like in our future?”

The host/moderator for the entire day will be Tyler Mathisen, TV host on CNBC. Attendees at the conference will have the opportunity to learn from two dozen of the planet’s thought leaders and participate in five networking breaks throughout the day. In collaboration with leading national media content partners, the conference is taking place this year at the Ritz Carlton Tiburon on February 24, 2014.
