from the desk of… Representative Byron Donalds

Two months into the second session of the 117th Congress, my priorities remain to serve as a solid and steadfast advocate for the values of Southwest Florida.

This administration refuses to accept the severity of their self-inflicted crises burdening American families: Chaos at our southern border, A national labor shortage, and Continuous record-high inflation. As the nation suffers the consequences of the failed leadership of this administration, my Republican colleagues and I stand united in the fight against the advancement of socialism in
America.

While blue-state governors continue to unconstitutionally expand their scope of power and restrict individual liberties under the guise of COVID-19, Florida serves as a beacon of freedom. Under the helm of Governor Ron DeSantis’ leadership, Florida has become a guiding light of what successful conservative leadership looks like. Without sacrificing personal freedoms, Florida’s COVID-19 response prioritized seniors, in-person learning, and medical autonomy. No mask mandates, no vaccine mandates, and no vaccine passports. In Congress, I’m committed to fighting against any federal official that attempts to infringe upon the individual liberties of Americans. This session, I am proud to have introduced critical pieces of legislation to reduce bureaucracy in Washington, cut federal spending, and limit the size and scope of the federal government.

As a proud constitutional conservative, my mission while in Congress is to serve the American taxpayer and do everything in my power to reign in any unruly and unchecked government. For a compiled list of legislation that I have supported so far this session, I encourage you to visit www.congress.gov.

Having already held multiple in-person Town Halls this year, I remain committed to leading and serving with transparency, honesty, and with the best interest of Southwest Florida in mind. Sincerely,
Byron Donalds
Member of Congress
