FIFTH AVENUE SOUTH TO HOST AN “EVENING ON FIFTH”

FIFTH AVENUE SOUTH TO HOST A SPECIAL “EVENING ON FIFTH” TO BENEFIT THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE FOR CITY OF NAPLES

The Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) is partnering with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 38to host a special “Evening on Fifth” on Thursday, September 8. The event will boost community awareness of the Fraternal Order of Police and help it fundraise for charitable programs benefitting the community.

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., many of the retail shops, restaurants and galleries along Fifth Avenue South will be participating along with live entertainment up and down the Avenue.

The Fraternal Order of Police is a non-profit organization made up of active and retired Police officers. The group’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Naples by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, reduce fear and maintain order, while treating citizens with courtesy, professionalism and respect.

“We appreciate this opportunity to share our mission of fighting for employee rights as well as our outreach within the local community,” said Erik Noe, vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 38. “Proceeds of this event will help us purchase turkeys for local families on Thanksgiving and gifts for underprivileged children on Christmas.”

Held on the second Thursday of each month, “Evening on Fifth” features live musical performances up and down the sidewalks of the Avenue, plus dining, shopping and more. The Fraternal Order of Police will have representatives on hand to greet the public and provide brochures with a display at Sugden Plaza, near the midpoint of Fifth Avenue South.

“It is an honor to dedicate this month’s Evening on Fifth to the Fraternal Order of Police in Naples,” said Bruce Barone Jr., executive director for the Fifth Avenue South BID. “We are proud of our local law enforcement and join them in their mission of supporting not only fellow officers, but also underprivileged children and families in our community.”
