FIFTH AVENUE SOUTH PRESENTS 49TH ANNUAL “CHRISTMAS WALK AND TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY” ON DECEMBER 2nd & 3rd
The Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) will host the 49th annual “Christmas on Fifth” on Friday, December 2nd from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, December 3rd from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This special festival will combine holiday themed activities along with the ultimate nights of ‘al fresco’ dining on the street.
Fifth Avenue South will be closed off to traffic throughout the two-day event, allowing for a wide variety of holiday experiences to take place up and down the Avenue. Among the traditional activities returning this year are Living Nativity by First Church of the Nazarene, a skating rink, live Christmas music and a special appearance by Santa Claus.
There also will be a 20-foot artificial Christmas tree, fully lit with more than 10,000 LED lights. The tree lighting takes place in Sugden Plaza on Friday at 6 p.m. with live music on Baker stage. Other highlights include an exclusive showcase of cars by Porsche Naples and entertainment will be provided for the festival at VIP areas along the street.
“The Fifth Avenue Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony traditionally represent the biggest Christmas showcase in all of Naples,” said Christopher Shucart, President of the Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District. “Our merchants and restaurant owners go all out in making this two-day event a special celebration for folks of all ages.”
This year’s “Christmas on Fifth” will also feature expanded outdoor dining, allowing guests to dine at their favorite restaurants right on the street. All reservations must be made directly with the specific restaurant. A list of participating restaurants will be posted online as some restaurants are still recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
Featuring more than 220 businesses, including high-end shops, world-class dining, unique boutiques and galleries, and exciting entertainment options, Fifth Avenue South is the vibrant heart of Naples. For further information, visit www.FifthAvenueSouth.com.
