Dr. Cheryl Malick Celebrates 22 Years of Exceptional Dental Care in Naples

Dr. Cheryl Malick, a Naples resident since 1985, commemorates 22 years of serving our community at Dental Excellence, her state-of-the-art, privately-owned practice. An alumna of Barron Collier High School and the University of Florida, she earned undergraduate honors in Engineering Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Engineering before pursuing her dental education.

During her studies, Dr. Malick interned with professors who pioneered dental and facial prostheses at Florida’s renowned dental school, inspiring her focus on dentistry and eventual graduation with Research Honors.

“Everything about dentistry is engineering, from the immense forces on our teeth and jaw to the mechanical and aesthetic strengths and limitations of the evolving materials used to create long-lasting restorations. Dentistry, at its finest, is the marriage of art and engineering,” she explains.

Providing general and aesthetic dentalcare in her hometown has been as rewarding as raising her family where she grew up. This unique perspective shapes her practice philosophy.

“Patients can expect to be seen on time,” she notes, understanding that her patients’ time is as valuable as hers.

Thoughtful scheduling makes balancing professional excellence and personal commitments possible. As a dedicated wife and mother of three teenagers—ages 15, 17, and 18—Dr. Malick counts cheering at cross-country and track meets among her favorite activities. Her eldest son recently transitioned to college and now competes on the Men’s Cross Country and Track teams for the Division 1 Florida International University Panthers in Miami.

Dr. Malick is passionate about demystifying dentistry and alleviating common fears.

“I enjoy talking with my patients. I want them to know as much about their mouths as I do—we’re a team.”

The advanced technologies at Dental Excellence allow patients to view high-resolution digital images and x-rays of their mouths in real-time during consultations.

“When patients see inside their mouths, they better understand their dental health. This helps me address their concerns and clearly explain their options.”

To ensure new patients feel comfortable, Dr. Malick has always welcomed prospective clients to meet her and tour her office through complimentary consultations. She is committed to ongoing education for herself and her team because “dentistry is an evolving field driven by technological developments and improved materials.”

This dedication ensures Dental Excellence maintains its benchmark for state-of-the-art services and results.

Community service is integral to Dr. Malick’s professional identity. As a long-time certified member of the FBI’s National Dental Image Repository Review Panel, she assists in the dental coding of missing and unidentified persons.

“Forensic dentistry allows me to help those who can no longer help themselves,” she explains.

Dr. Malick also serves with the Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System, deploying after catastrophic events such as hurricanes to aid in victim identification and bring closure to families.

Dr. Malick extends her sincere gratitude to the Naples community, her family, and her patients for their support and patronage throughout the past 22 years and looks forward to continuing to serve the area for years to come.
