And, yet another mother daughter duo who call Fifth Avenue South home is Judy Collins and her daughter, Stacie Carroll.
Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Judy owned and operated Peach Tree Designs, a retail home furnishings boutique, there for over 30 years. After relocating to Naples in 1997, Judy and Stacie opened a store on Fifth Avenue South – and quickly became rooted there.
Judy’s background in fashion design and Stacie’s business degree allowed them to propel their business into one of the area’s fastest growing and most successful interior design firms around.
“By remaining true to ourselves and our eclectic buying, yet evolving with the times, and having personal connections with our clients, we have remained successful in our field,” said Judy.
According to Stacie, the best part of owning her own business is, “we are able to do what we love together as family. And, we count our staff as a part of our family because some of them have been with us for over 15 years.
Being located on Fifth Avenue South is a bonus. The diverse mix of retail stores and clientele and the beautiful scenery just adds to an already wonderful experience owning a small business,” said Stacie.
For those thinking of opening a small business, Judy’s advice is to make sure that it’s something you are passionate about.
“You will have to live and breathe it every day.” Fifth Avenue South is the heart of Naples, the history of Naples, the spirit of Naples, today. It is home to award winning restaurants and cafés, world-class art galleries, chic boutiques, elegant inns and a wealth of professional businesses and services.
