art after dark Crayton Cove

Welcome to busy, busy February! Traffic seemed to pick up quickly this season and won’t be getting any better until after Easter, so don’t let that stop you from getting to the places you want to go, as there are many worthwhile things to do in Naples.

We are so fortunate to have some of the best weather in the country, when comparing temperatures, especially, so be sure and get out and take advantage of what our area has to offer. There are the obvious things to do and then there are hidden treasures like Crayton Cove, nestled into a charming spot on Naples Bay with numerous restaurants such as Bleu Provence, Chez Boët, Boathouse Restaurant, The Dock At Crayton Cove, Cove Inn Coffee Shoppe, Napoli On The Bay, plus unique shops and galleries.

Some of these personalized businesses are Brigadoon, Naples Ships Store, Pure Design, Random Acts of Art, Guess- Fisher Gallery and Phil Fisher Gallery. When looking for a fun evening event involving art and music, be sure and come to “Art After Dark,” hosted by the Galleries of Crayton Cove, showcasing the artwork by professional area artists and featuring the musical talents of Jeff Fessenden & Alchemy. This festive event happens on Saturday February 10, from 6 – 9 p.m., all within a one-block walk, where 8th Street S. & 12th Avenue S. meet at the flagpole by the Bay.

Third On Canvas is another great event in Old Naples where the public has the opportunity to see artists at work, painting on location, for a great cause. This event brings a cultural energy to the Third Street area, including the beach and Crayton Cove, where artists interpret their surroundings and we are able to watch it happen! Phil Fisher & Natalie Guess will be two of those artists painting to raise funds for PAWS Assistance Dogs on February 11th & 12th and the auction where these beautiful works can be bought is on Thursday February 15th. Tickets are available through the Third Street South Kiosk.  www.philfisherfineart.com  www.GalleriesOfCraytonCove.com

Come and help make it a success for these special dogs!
