Art after Dark – January 2016
It’s a new year and new things are happening in Crayton Cove in Old Naples. There are new works rotating through the Cove Inn Lobby show, allowing the public to see a sampling of the artworks available in the Galleries of Crayton Cove. They are for sale there or if one wants to see more, they can venture less than a block away and see more!
As season kicks into gear, there are numerous events going on at the galleries and restaurants here. Bleu Provence will be hosting a wine tasting or two and Chez Boët is known to procure some interesting events, as well. The Dock Restaurant is a feature of Naples history on the waterfront. While strolling our community of galleries by the bay, if a sandwich or pizza is desired, Napoli’s On The Bay offers some the best Italian delights in town. Random Acts of Art is welcoming new works by various Florida artists, while Vintage Charm features a “retro boutique” yet European style gallery of art. Nora Butler Design is now home to nine Naples artists along with Nora, while Earth & Fire is scheduling more classes to accommodate the many who enjoy painting pottery. Guess-Fisher Gallery & Phil Fisher Gallery are hosting a show titled “Paint Is A Beautiful Thing,” featuring two of our areas’ finest artists, Jan Ellen Atkielski and Peter Garon. Opening reception is Saturday, January 16, from 6 – 9 p.m. and offers an opportunity to meet these talented artists. Their works will be up and available for only two weeks, so put this on your list of “to do’s” for the New Year.
“Art After Dark” is Saturday, January 9th from 6 – 9 p.m. when all the Galleries of Crayton Cove will be open and welcoming the public to enjoy live performances by some of Naples’ musical talents while viewing some of the newest works by all of the artists represented. It is a festive event to help welcome in the New Year in a locally cultural way.
