We are officially in the midst of the “Holiday Season” and busy trying to keep up with all the necessary requirements of this time of the year. Some of you have diligently completed your shopping for the special people in your lives, but many of you are still looking for that “just right” gift. If still in the pursuit of unique items, keep in mind, the community of galleries, restaurants and shops in Crayton Cove, in Old Naples, by the City Docks, on Naples Bay.
Most of our “Mom & Pop” businesses are offering possibilities you can’t find anywhere else that will show the thought and care you took to locate such wonderful gifts. Most of what’s offered is made by hand in the USA, in fact, much of it is made right here in Naples, can’t get much more unique than that.
Back Of The Bay and Brigadoon feature women’s clothing while Random Acts Of Art, Earth And Fire, The Naples Ships Store, Vintage Charm and Nora Butler Designs offer unique collectable and art gifts.
Fine art paintings, in various mediums, and prints can be found at Phil Fisher Gallery, Arsenault Gallery, Art Gallery Old Naples2 and Guess-Fisher Gallery. Most of our stores and restaurants offer gift certificates or cards for those who are hard to pick a specific gift for.
The Galleries of Crayton Cove also offer the opportunity to attend their monthly event, “Art After Dark.” It’s on the second Saturday of each month and is available to all to enjoy. The many galleries are open and welcoming the public to view some of their newest works of art. You have the opportunity to meet and purchase directly from the artists, as well. The sounds of live music by Naples musicians create a festive atmosphere to stroll through the various venues, while discovering your newest favorite
piece of art.
“Art After Dark” is Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. amidst the Galleries of Crayton Cove, a professional artist community in Old Naples on the Bay, all within a one-block walk, where 8th St. S. & 12th Ave. meet at the flagpole. for more information, call 239.403.8393
