Art After Dark – April 2020

Seasons tend to help mark time during a year and vary fromcoast to coast. Southwest Florida basically has very subtle seasons throughout the year. This time of the year, however, it’s a little more obvious with the mass exodus of visitors and parttime residents heading back to the North where Spring is in full swing and they go looking for the weather that was here for thepast 3 to 6 months.

Those of you who are remaining have the opportunity to experience the many things that brought us all down here offering shorter lines and a chance to eat at our favorite restaurants again and shop at our favorite stores and galleries to see if they have that ”special something” item we’ve been thinking about getting!

Crayton Cove in Old Naples is one of those rare places. It has some of the best restaurants, a few even located with a view on the Naples Bay, as well as a handful of the most charming specialty shops and galleries representing over 30 Florida artists, some of them residing here in the Naples area for the last 45 years or more, creating paintings of some of Naples’ most beautiful views to enjoy on a daily basis.

This is a great place to spend time walking around and checking out the boats on the city dock anytime, but if looking for a festive cultural event to participate in, save the date of Sunday, April 5th to attend the Art After Dark show of “Scenic Florida”, featuring some of Phil Fisher’s newest works, opening that night from 5 to 8pm at Guess-Fisher Gallery & Phil Fisher Gallery, 810 12th Ave. S., Naples, where 8th St. S. & 12th Ave. S. meet at the flagpole by the Bay.
