Art After Dark
Season is in full swing and it’s no exception in Crayton Cove. The Galleries are brimming with activity as a special fund-raiser for “Preserve Our Paradise” was a successful event at the Arsenault Gallery that just finished up the end of January. Art Gallery Old Naples2 and Guess-Fisher Gallery:Nestled In The Cove had opening receptions on January 11, from 6 to 9 p.m., showing some of their newest paintings of our inspiring Naples scenes. These views are created by seven artists represented by these two galleries. Random Acts of Art is presenting new outdoor wind sculptures by New Mexican artisan, Mark White. They are made of stainless steel and copper and move with a gentle breeze. Nora Butler has some of her newest designs available on various items and Earth & Fire is in full swing with their classes and parties for those who like to create in ceramics.
The Phil Fisher Gallery is holding an exciting reception event on Monday February 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring the paintings and batiks created by Phil Fisher and Natalie Guess en plein air while traveling through Italy and France this past summer. The exhibit, “From Northern Italy To The South Of France” features images they painted while in Bellagio, on Lake Como, where their travels started, and expanded to offer scenes from there to encompass their stop over in Provence. They spent quality painting time on the Southern Coast of France looking out over the Mediterranean Sea experiencing the beauty from there to Saint-Tropez. One day, while in Les Issambres, France, Phil was commissioned to teach a master class in watercolor to help a group of artists learn how to interpret the enchanting atmosphere of the coast.
During this reception, Susan Agnelli, a travel concierge that specializes in Italy and other European countries, will be available to answer questions about travel excursions. Voyage Boet, being a Crayton Cove business, will be on hand to discuss their cruises to France. Another Crayton Cove business, Bleu Provence, will be hosting a wine tasting during the opening for the guests to sample. The gallery will also offer a variety of Italian and French hors d’ouevres to accent the works of art.
The Galleries of Crayton Cove will continue to offer a number of shows and activities throughout the season, including their monthly reception on the second Saturday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m. where all the galleries are open and welcoming the public to meet the artists and enjoy viewing and purchasing some of their newest works of art. Live music and refreshments enhance the evening of fun. “Art After Dark” is on Saturday February 8.
