ALDO CASTILLO GALLERY ON FIFTH AVENUE SOUTH CELEBRATES

28 YEARS OF SERVING PRIVATE COLLECTORS AND ART ENTHUSIASTS

The Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce that Aldo Castillo Gallery will be celebrating its 28th anniversary this year of serving private collectors, museum collections, design professionals and art enthusiasts with cutting-edge contemporary art by established artists around the world.

Located at 634 Fifth Ave. S., Aldo Castillo Gallery was established in Chicago in 1993 by Aldo Castillo, a former member of the Chicago Art Dealers Association. The gallery relocated to Southwest Florida in 2011 and for the past 10 years has operated from space in the Miromar Design Center in Estero. The gallery debuted on Fifth Avenue South in late 2020 and is currently celebrating its first season along Naples’ historic Main Street.

Aldo Castillo Gallery offers paintings, photography, drawings, sculpture, works on paper, digital art and new media installations. As an international art dealer, curator, artist, and human rights activist, Castillo is recognized as a leading promoter of cutting-edge contemporary art. He has achieved prominence as the organizer of numerous prestigious art shows and art fairs in China, Europe, Latin America, Africa and the United States.

“Aldo Castillo has been featuring the works of internationally known and award-winning artists for nearly three decades,” said Bruce Barone, Jr., executive director for the Fifth Avenue South BID. “We are delighted that he is now introducing Neapolitans to these incredible works of art by branching out his gallery operations to Fifth Avenue South.”

To celebrate its first season on Fifth Avenue South, the gallery is inviting art lovers and collectors to its first official featured artist celebration on May 13th. This date will coincide with the popular “Evening on Fifth” held the second Thursday of each month.

For this premier night, the gallery will feature the works of award-winning sculptor Marlene Rose, who produces stunningly beautiful works of art in her chosen medium, sand-cast glass. Each piece is hand cast from molten glass into a unique modern work of art that resonates with references and allusions to ancient cultures and civilizations.

To ensure safety and social distancing, the gallery will be celebrating throughout the day to space out guests. The gallery is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Featuring more than 220 businesses, including high-end shops, world-class dining, unique boutiques and galleries, and exciting entertainment options, Fifth Avenue South is the vibrant heart of Naples. For further information, visit www.FifthAvenueSouth.com.
