Wilson & Johnson Private Foundation Announces First Cycle of Quarterly
Grant Awards Benefitting Three Collier County Non-Profit Organizations

The Wilson & Johnson Private Foundation is proud to announce it has awarded $25,000 in grants to the Empowerment Farm, Fun Time Early Childhood Academy and The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. These awards represent the first quarterly cycle of smaller gifts by the Foundation. The next cycle for nonprofit grants is now open through December 31, 2026.

“We are delighted to collaborate with these three nonprofit organizations which benefit children, education and women’s initiatives in our community,” said George A. Wilson, Trustee of the Wilson & Johnson Private Foundation. “We welcome proposals from other deserving nonprofits who can make a significant difference with less funding, which will be considered on a rolling basis throughout the year.”

Here is a breakdown of the latest grants:

• Empowerment Farm – $5,000 grant for expansion of Agricultural Education Program: Students have limited access to hands-on experiences that reinforce classroom STEM learning. These educational programs aim not just for students to leave the farm knowing more, but to leave more curious about their food, their environment, the natural world and how it connects us.

• Fun Time Early Childhood Academy – $10,000 for Tuition Assistance Fund: Ensuring that high-quality early learning remains accessible to hardworking families, regardless of their financial circumstances.

• The Shelter for Abused Women & Children – $10,000 for Trauma-Informed Child Care: This project supports The Shelter’s mission by protecting children affected by violence and helping families move from crisis toward safety and independence. By providing trauma-informed care for children while their parents and caregivers work, and by giving access to The Shelter’s free services to rebuild their lives, the project helps families build lasting, violence-free futures.
