VILLAGE SCHOOL OF NAPLES ACQUIRES QUEST FOR SUCCESS; HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE TO COMMUNITY

The Village School of Naples, an independent school serving students in Preschool through 12th grade, announced that it will acquire Quest for Success. Under the transaction, the highly successful college preparatory program will operate as a division of The Village School while remaining available to all Collier County students.

The acquisition of Quest for Success by The Village School is anticipated to close in late spring or early summer. The transaction builds upon a partnership between the two organizations in which all Village School students currently receive college prep assistance and in-house counseling during their high school years at The Village School.

“We have seen how effective Quest for Success is in helping students achieve their goals,” said Dennis Chapman, Head of School for The Village School of Naples. “We are excited to assume the operations of this organization and continue to offer these programs from The Village School to all public and private school students across our community.”

Based in Naples, Quest for Success provides the resources needed to send hard-working students to four-year colleges and universities. The organization was founded in 1993 with just 10 students. Since then, it has assisted more than 1,000 local students and is now a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

Among the diverse services offered by Quest are in-depth SAT/ACT test preparation; assistance in choosing the best college for each student; ensuring a high school curriculum that will create competitive college applicants; in-depth work in writing an outstanding college essay; one-on-one assistance in applying for scholarships and financial aid; and personalized direction in choosing a college major and/or career path.

“We provide one of the country’s most holistic and comprehensive college prep experiences unlike any other organization in Southwest Florida,” said Susan Zumstein, Executive Director of Quest for Success. “I am particularly excited that we will continue to offer services not only on a fee basis but also scholarships for less privileged families.”

Zumstein will remain on in a leadership role with the Quest for Success organization, and she and her staff will soon be relocated to The Village School campus operating out of a newly expanded College Admissions division within the current Administration Building.

Located at 6000 Goodlette-Frank Rd., The Village School of Naples originally began as The Caring Place Preschool in 1985 as an outreach at North Naples United Methodist Church. In 2000, the church relocated to the present campus location and added The Village School, beginning with K-2 and 37 students. In 2006, the school was accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Florida Kindergarten Council.

In 2009, parents asked The Village School for a middle school to be added and soon after added the middle school one grade a year to complete the eighth grade. Four years later, the Board of Directors voted to add an upper school division in the fall of 2017. A capital campaign followed, and the new division opened in August 2017 with 17 students.

In June 2020, The Village School celebrated its first-ever graduating class of seniors with a class of 12 students. The school projects to have more than 100 upper school students in the fall of 2021. For additional information, visit www.villageschoolnaples.org.
