Every nine minutes someone in our community is diagnosed with Parkinson Disease. PD is the fastest growing disease in our country. In the next twenty years, PD will surpass Alzheimer’s Disease.

The Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida, Inc. (PASFI) provides services and programs that improve the quality of life for persons with Parkinson Disease and their care partners. All programs are provided free of charge. PASFI receives no federal funding to offset program costs. It is through generosity of our community that we are able to provide programs at no cost.

Programs include exercise classes, speech therapy, support groups, education programs, music therapy and social events.

“We are facing a crisis in our community as more people are diagnosed with the disease. We are averaging 40 new members a month,” said Linda Goldfield, Executive Director of PASFI. The demand for our services is increasing. It is through the generosity of our community that we will be able to meet the growing needs in Collier and Southern Lee County. All funds raised remain local to create a healthier community.”
