The Nurse Practitioner Council of Collier County members were congratulated by Governor Rick Scott

img_0076-jpgThe Nurse Practitioner Council of Collier County (NPCCC) members were congratulated by Governor Rick Scott for passage of the new Barbara Lumpkin Controlled Substances Prescribing Act of 2016.

The President of NPCCC, Bonnie Sealey, MSN, ACNP-BC practices Acute Care Cardiovascular nursing with the Cardiology Consultants of Naples.

As Vice-President for Legislative Affairs for NPCCC, Jane Cox PhD, PNP-BC is community-based as Executive Director for NCH Community Home Care.

Doreen Cassarino, DNP, FNP-BC, BC-ADM, FAANP practices Internal Medicine with Millennium Physicians Group and served on the Florida Board of Nursing Controlled Substances Formulary Committee.

    Thanks to you for representing all Florida Nurse Practitioners and organizations that worked diligently to reach this goal. Achieving legislative change is hard work– unless we work together! United and working with one another, all nurse practitioners –regardless of specialty, can look forward to the creation of a practice environment in Florida the allows ARNPs to practice to the full extent of our education and training.
