The Naples Players Welcomes Lacey Yaklin as Director of Development

The Naples Players is pleased to announce the appointment of Lacey Yaklin as its new Director of Development, bringing more than 12 years of nonprofit fundraising and event planning experience to one of Southwest Florida’s leading cultural institutions.

Yaklin’s background spans individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation support, and donor engagement events. Most recently, she served in a development role with a community-based health organization in Washington, D.C., where she supported fundraising efforts that strengthened programs and expanded donor relationships.

Known for her warm, relationship-centered approach and creative thinking, Yaklin has helped organizations build sustainable support while bringing structure and momentum to fundraising initiatives. She is especially drawn to the storytelling and personal connection at the heart of effective development work.

“I’ve always loved the relationship side of this work,” Yaklin said. “I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and finding creative ways to engage supporters and tell the story of what makes an organization matter. The Naples Players does that in such a powerful, community-driven way, and I’m excited to be part of it.”

Yaklin joins the organization as longtime fundraising professional Elizabeth Rountree prepares to retire next month following years of dedicated service. Both Yaklin and Rountree will appear together at The Naples Players’ annual Front & Center gala on February 10, marking a meaningful moment of transition and continuity for the organization’s development efforts.

As Director of Development, Yaklin will lead contributed revenue efforts, working closely with staff, board members, and supporters to advance The Naples Players’ mission of building community through exceptional access to the power of theatre.

Bryce Alexander TNP’s Executive Artistic Director

“We are thrilled to welcome Lacey to The Naples Players,” said Bryce Alexander, CEO & Executive Artistic Director. “Her experience, creativity, and people-first approach align perfectly with who we are and where we’re headed. She joins us at an exciting moment of growth and opportunity.”

Yaklin looks forward to getting to know the organization, its supporters, and the broader community, and to helping grow the fundraising that makes TNP’s artistic, educational, and community programs possible.
