THE LATIN DIVOS PREMIER IN NAPLES
Gulfshore Opera brings The Latin Divos to Naples
The Latin Divos make their Southwest Florida debut in one of Gulfshore Opera’s Opera al Fresco(Open Air)series concerts on October 25, 2020 at 5 PM, “Divos & Dinner”: a Latin flavored evening in the beautiful botanical garden at The Club at the Strand in Naples.
Born and raised in Cuba, where music and arts vibrate on every corner, it’s no wonder that The Latin Divos (Ernesto, Fernando and Will) have quickly captured the attention and hearts of audiences around the world. The group, based in Miami, was founded in 2017 by violinist, saxophonist, trumpeter and singer Will Corujo. They take Latin pop, traditional songs and opera hits and “Latinize” them, singing in Italian, English, Spanish and French.
The group has performed in prestigious theaters and venues around the USA and Latin America, individually performing in more than 25 Countries. They have had the honor of sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in Latin music. Grammy Award winning composer and singer Alejandro Jaen asked The Latin Divos to participate on his latest album and went on to compose their first original single entitled “Hoy Podras Volar”. They just released their album “Forever Classics”, containing audience favorites like: Hallelujah, Caruso, O sole mio, Quizasquizas and more to enjoy beautiful melodies from all times.
The evening at the outdoor botanical garden of Club at the Strand begins with a short set of songs by the Latin Divos, followed by a touch-less buffet of Action Taco Salad, Carved Mojito Station with Pork Loin, black beans, Spanish rice, green beans with almonds and cilantro and Bourbon-Maple Glazed Salmon.
After dinner, enjoy the one hour performance with a cup of coffee and dessert or help yourself to the cash bar.
The Latin Divos return to spice up the new year on January 14, 2021 with a concert at the lawn stage across from Silverspot Cinema at Mercato in Naples.
