Rookery Bay Community Day FREE Day of Fun
The Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center is always a buzz of activities, events and exhibits for all ages to enjoy. There are aquariums, touch tanks, walking trails, a butterfly garden and even a scenic water overlook bridge.
On May 3 it gets even better with Rookery Bay Community Day. This FREE day includes kayak demos, boat rides, eco-crafts, face painting, photobooth, a new art exhibit by Florida Gulf Coast University students, food trucks and hands-on marine life experiences.
Community Day is more than just fun. It’s also an opportunity to explore and understand the rich coastal ecosystem of Rookery Bay Research Reserve, which encompasses 40% of Collier County’s shoreline. Learn about the research and conservation efforts happening at Rookery Bay from sea turtle monitoring and shark studies to shorebird protection and water quality initiatives.
Whether you’re an art lover intrigued by the gallery, a nature enthusiast eager to explore wildlife exhibits or simply looking for a great family outing, Rookery Bay Community Day has something for everyone.
