Phil Fisher and Natalie Guess provide an Artist’s Perception

We are in full swing of the 2025 season and there are many activities happening around Naples. One of these annual special events taking place on March 16th, is “Five Painters & A Potter” which is hosted by The Clay Place, at 1555 Shadowlawn Drive in Naples.

It showcases the works of six artists that have been living and working as professional artists in the Naples area for many years. Two of the artists, Phil Fisher and Paul Arsenault, have been living and painting in Naples for more than 50 years. This show celebrates their long involvement in our community, as does the art of the other four, Jim Rice, Natalie Guess, Tara O’Niell and Rick Wobbe, who have been here supporting the arts and creating for more than 44 years. Live music by “Captain Joe and The Bottomfeeders” and snacks will be available during this outdoor event. The hours for the event are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the public is invited to attend this free show!

For the month of March, Phil’s historical paintings from 1992 and forward are on display at the Collier County Museum located at the Collier County Government Complex at Airport-Pulling Road and Tamiami Trail East. It features some of his earlier work with wildlife and his commissioned work for the museum of prehistoric life in Florida.

For those who may be looking to paint oils in a new way, we are offering a palette knife painting workshop by Jan Ellen Atkielski, on March 30 & 31 at our gallery. She is a master at this painting technique and quite a good instructor. Anyone who has the desire to learn can take this class and get something from it.

Feel free to call 239-659-2787 or stop by our gallery, Guess-Fisher Gallery, located at 985 Central Avenue, for more information about this or the other activities we are doing. Phil Fisher can be found at his easel Guess-Fisher Gallery in the heart of the Naples Design District.
