NCH Designated as Florida Comprehensive Resuscitation Center of Excellence
Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) has received designation as a Florida Comprehensive Resuscitation Center of Excellence, recognizing the health system’s outstanding commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for patients experiencing cardiac arrest.
The designation, awarded by the Florida Resuscitation Committee, is part of a statewide initiative designed to improve cardiac arrest outcomes by creating a coordinated network of hospitals committed to resuscitation excellence. Hospitals earning the designation demonstrate rigorous adherence to evidence-based protocols, advanced clinical training, and a sustained focus on rapid, high-quality resuscitation.
According to the Florida Resuscitation Committee, NCH was recognized for its outstanding commitment to providing exceptional care for patients experiencing cardiac arrest through rigorous adherence to evidence-based protocols, advanced training, and a steadfast dedication to rapid, high-quality resuscitation, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients in critical need.
“This designation validates the daily work our emergency teams do when seconds matter most,” said Caitlin George, (Featured Photo) Director of Emergency Services at NCH. “From rapid recognition to coordinated resuscitation efforts, this achievement reflects the discipline, training and compassion our teams bring to every cardiac arrest patient entrusted to our care.”
The resuscitation center recognition builds upon a growing list of recent emergency care accolades across the NCH system. The NCH Baker Emergency Department was recently recognized by the American College of Emergency Physicians with Level II Silver accreditation as a Geriatric Emergency Department, making it one of only three emergency departments in Florida to earn this distinction. The accreditation reflects specialized protocols, staff training and resources designed to meet the unique needs of older adults.
In addition, NCH Baker Hospital achieved its first-ever accreditation for chest pain care from the American College of Cardiology, recognizing the hospital’s commitment to evidence-based evaluation and treatment of patients presenting with cardiac symptoms.
NCH’s Bonita Springs freestanding emergency department has also been recognized for its overall quality of care, earning the Award of Distinction from PRC. The honor reflects consistently high performance and patient experience outcomes and underscores the system’s commitment to excellence across all emergency services.
Together, these recognitions highlight NCH’s unwavering resolve to deliver compassionate, expert care and to continuously advance emergency, cardiac and resuscitative services for Southwest Florida.
