John Morrison, (FEATURED PHOTO) a longtime resident of Naples, is well known for his transformative leadership in both the financial services and healthcare sectors. Morrison brings deep governance expertise to NCH, having served on the boards of the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas. He served as Chairman and CEO of Allina Health, one of the largest healthcare systems in Minnesota, where he led major organizational reforms and helped shape the future of integrated care delivery. His philanthropic contributions have been equally impactful. Together with his wife Susan, Morrison established the Morrison Family College of Health and the Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing at the University of St. Thomas, supporting the education of future nurses, public health leaders, and healthcare professionals.
Morrison previously served on the NCH Board and has been a steadfast advocate for advancing healthcare in the region. Together with his wife, the Morrisons have been generous donors to NCH, notably establishing the John and Susan Morrison Endowed Chair for the Wingard Stroke Institute. Their visionary support has contributed to NCH becoming the only comprehensive stroke center
accredited by the Joint Commission in Southwest Florida, significantly improving outcomes and offering innovative procedures to improve rehabilitation for stroke patients.

Susan and I believe deeply in the power of community-based healthcare to transform lives, and we’ve seen firsthand how NCH is doing just that.
