For the Love of Art – A Gala Like No Other

Naples Art1Serving as the hub for all things art in Southwest Florida, The Naples Art Association felt it was only natural to rethink the conventional annual gala. So, with the help of Artistic Science, an event company specializing in dramatic, once-in-a-lifetime events, the Naples Art Association created For the Love of Art, an annual event like no other. On Saturday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m. at The von Liebig Art Center, guests can expect the unexpected as we connect the four elements – earth, air, water, and fire.

“As a creative organization, we felt it was our responsibility to present a unique and imaginative alternative to black-tie fundraising,” said NAA Director Aimee Schlehr. “This year’s For the Love of Art event will call upon the elements allowing us endless possibilities for an evening you won’t soon forget.”

At the start of the night, guests will enter a completely transformed von Liebig where they will feel a gentle wind guiding them through dancing patterns of light and mystical characters toward a signature drink. Next, they will move further into The Watson Gallery, where they will discover the adventure of the graffiti wall and take in works of art created by self taught, Floridian renegade artists displayed throughout the galleries.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to imagine themselves enjoying one of the truly unique auction items comprising the live auction, which will be held during the cocktail hour this year.

Naples Art GalaAs always, The Naples Art Association will use this evening as an opportunity to acknowledge those who have made a significant difference to the organization during a brief and meaningful ceremony.

The awards will include The Hirshhorn Award, The Impact Award, and The Gulfshore Life Emerging Art Leader Award. And, finally the entire place will come to life with the four elements!

Patrons will go in search of the four corners of the Art Center to delight in the surprises that await them, including spectacular live entertainers, interactive high-energy art experiences, delicious cocktails, and culinary masterpieces from four talented chefs, and of course, outstanding works of art. “Wish List” auction items will be scattered throughout, providing guests with the fulfillment of knowing what their contributions have purchased in support of art.

Tickets are $250 per person or $450 per couple and can be purchased by visiting www.NaplesArt.org or by calling 239.262.6517.
