Divorce and Family Law – Russell Knight Answers The Call

Russell Knight

Russell Knight was born in Prince Albert, Canada and kept finding himself moving further south throughout his life. After attending high school in Honolulu, Hawaii, Russell Knight matriculated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Computer Systems. After two lackluster years as a computer programmer, Russell Knight embraced his gift for writing and rhetoric by attending the University of Illinois College of Law at Champaign Urbana.

After passing the Illinois bar, Russell Knight worked for a busy general practice law firm where he quickly took on the cases he found himself excelling in. Namely, divorce and family law cases. During this time, Russell Knight spent his evenings studying Spanish so that he could broaden his client base. In 2009, Russell Knight resigned from the general practice firm and spent a month in intensive Spanish studies in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Russell Knight returned to Chicago to open up his own law firm during the height of the Great Financial Crisis.

As the years passed, Russell Knight became more and more focused on divorce and family law until his firm became exclusively focused on nothing but domestic relations cases in 2012. Russell Knight’s firm began adding paralegals and associates as niching down meant scaling up.

In 2018, Russell Knight passed the Florida Bar, allowing Russell Knight to further expand his client base between Chicago and the Chicagoland area’s favorite vacation spot, Naples, Florida. Russell Knight opened a law firm in Naples, Florida and promptly hired Dustin Sedor as his law clerk who later became Russell Knight’s associate. Dustin Sedor remains a member of the Law Office of Russell Knight to this day.

Russell Knight’s Naples law firm has been busy since it opened, helping people throughout Southwest Florida navigate serious change both in and out of the courtroom. Russell Knight enjoys bringing his years of Chicago divorce and family law expertise to Naples, Florida and plans to continue to elevate the practice of divorce and family law in Illinois and Florida, especially for people who are residents of both states.
