BRICKLIVE SUPERSIZED

Naples Zoo is excited to bring back the popular BRICKLIVE exhibition this season in a whole new way.

BRICKLIVE Supersized Creatures debuts November 20,2021 and will stay at Naples Zoo through Easter 2022.

Supersized Creatures features more than 30 giant models of unique species built with toy bricks. The exhibit is included in regular zoo admission, and the models will be placed throughout the zoo for guests to enjoy.

The theme of this exhibition is to spotlight “small and mighty” creatures that are colorful and have unusual natural abilities, and magnify them to larger-than-life, eye-popping scale. The brick-built models include a wasp magnified over 82 times its normal size to over 3 feet tall, a peacock spider magnified 208 times to around 3 feet tall, and even a honey badger magnified over 8 times to 4 feet tall.

These models take an incredible amount of time to build and are made with thousands of toy building bricks. The Kingfisher bird model alone is made with 174,505 bricks, weighs 1,344 pounds, and took 333 hours to build.

Displayed near the sculptures will be colorful graphics featuring interesting facts and statistics such as the size of each figure, how many bricks were used to build each one, and the amount of time it took to create each piece.

It is the first time this version of the BRICKLIVE traveling exhibit will be featured in Florida. Traveling exhibits add an extra experience to your zoo visit and we are excited for guests to experience BRICKLIVE Supersized Creatures.

This exhibit is supported by the Paradise Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau and is included in general zoo admission.
