Boots & Boogie Bash – $150,000
Excitement, cowboy boots and hats filled the room at the ninth annual Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) Boots & Boogie Bash. The fundraiser was held at Grey Oaks Country Club with over 220 in attendance. The Bash began with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a Texas-style dinner, live auction and dancing. The event raised over $150,000 to help fund much needed educational one-on-one mentoring for local foster children.
This year’s chairs were Trisha and Eric Borges, owners of First Class Plumbing of Florida, and local celebrity emcees were ABC-7 anchor Krista Fogelsong, and local chef Brian Roland of Crave Culinaire. Making the fundraiser possible were: Naples Auto Donation Center (NADC), NEST Multi-Facility Management, Arthrex, Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, Enterprise, Rosemary Hammer of John R. Wood Realtors, BMO Private Bank, First Class Plumbing, First Florida Integrity Bank, Germain Motor Company, Hill Barth and King, William C. Huff, The Woodruff Institute, along with media sponsors Naples Illustrated and the Naples Daily News.
The mission of FFCF is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters, or is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
Foster children are the most vulnerable children in our community and through the FFCF Academic Mentoring program, these children develop a belief in themselves and that they can succeed.
