ART AFTER DARK… 5 painters and a potter

Naples, Florida, what a wonderful place to be right now! The weather is better than most other places in the country
and there are many activities and events to keep everyone  busy. Granted, traffic can be a little exhausting, but at least there is
no snow or ice to contend with. To top it off, there is an active arts community here, so that translates into a number of cultural events this time of the year, as well.

Talk Of The Town by Phil Fisher

One such event this month is “Art After Dark,” featuring a “Pure Michigan” art show opening being hosted by the Phil Fisher Gallery & Guess-Fisher Gallery, 810 12th Avenue South, Crayton Cove, on March 13th from 6 to 9pm. The evening will showcase paintings of Northern Michigan by Phil Fisher and fine art batiks by Natalie Guess and some paintings by a Michigan artist, Kevin Barton, as well as live music.

The 17th annual “5 Painters & A Potter” is a “must attend” event as well. It is an opportunity to meet some of your favorite long-standing artists in the area, Phil Fisher, Jim Rice, Paul Arsenault, Natalie Guess, Tara O’Neill and Rick Wobbe. Sunday, March 29th from 11:00am to 5:00pm, The Clay Place, 1555 Shadowlawn Drive will transform its outdoor oasis into a comfortable outdoor art show ”the way we used to do them.”

Listen to the music being performed by “Captain Joe & The Bottom Feeders” while enjoying the artwork presented by these fine artists in an inspiring environment. It’s a little bit of Old Naples to remind us of why we came here in the first place!

When looking for a glimpse of the past in Old Naples, be sure and stroll the Galleries of Crayton Cove and the Naples City Dock and enjoy some time along the waterfront where 8th St. S. & 12th Ave. S. meet at the flagpole by the Bay.  www.guess-fishergallery.com
