an ARTIST’s perception by Natalie Guess

May is Naples History Month. In the midst of all this growth, it is important to recognize where this town of Naples started. Naples has a short history, in the grand scheme of things, but its history is very important to those that have lived and grown up here for generations and have a vested interest in our community. As artists, we look to the past charm of the area for inspiration. Having been here for many years, the flora and fauna, as well as the charming cottages play a part in our memories of Naples and how it affected our mind’s eye and the views we found important to paint.
Of course, in essence, every painting we do is historical, as it records the emotion & perspective of what we saw & experienced.
Come by and see our enchanting views of Historic Naples.
This show opens May 2 and will be up through the end of May. Phil Fisher spent 53 years painting Naples and we still have many of your favorite scenes including a few left of the historic Naples Beach Hotel. This is your opportunity to own one of his collectable paintings.
Opening on June 6 will be paintings that optimize the beauty of summertime. “Sum Sum Summertime” focuses on the rains and clouds we see in our summer months and the growth of the greenery surrounding us! This show celebrates oil paintings interpreted by 6 acclaimed oil painters and accented by watercolors and batiks. The gallery will be open by appointment during the month of July.
