A Word from Congressman Byron Donalds

As March comes to a close, I want to highlight Women’s History Month and recognize all of the
incredible women in Southwest Florida that work every day for the betterment of our communities.

March was spent between Washington and Southwest Florida. Congress heard and voted on H.R. 1 which is referred to by supporters as the “For the People Act,” despite stripping away state officials and the people’s election rights. This legislation federalizes states’ electoral processes while also stripping away states’ constitutionally granted authority to control their elections. As a believer in free and fair elections, I opposed this bill to preserve and protect all Americans’ voting rights.

As we now move into Spring, I would like to wish all of those who celebrate a Happy Easter. A day we are reminded of the greatest gift of all: hope. “He is not here for He has Risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28:6

The spirit of Easter is to believe in second chances and to rejoice and be thankful for the gift of life. I hope your Easter is filled with family, friends, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Serving the people of Florida’s 19th Congressional District is my distinct honor and privilege. As your representative, I will always strive to fight and protect the Constitution and ensure your
government is working for you

Sincerely,
Byron Donalds
Member of Congress
