Some Ideas for Keeping the Doldrums of Summer at Bay

Candidates for city, state, and national elections happening in 2025/2026 are starting to surface. It’s never too early to start researching their positions on issues important to you.

The summer lull is a great time to find a charity or volunteer organization looking for help. You’ll be both improving your community and your own mental health.

The 9/11 Freedom Memorial and Freedom Park are a great place to visit, especially with 9/11 coming up. Pay honor to those who perished and the first responders and soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The City Airport is a great place to visit and offers tours, along with plenty of green space for exercising and getting out into nature. Their many improvements over the years have made Naples Airport a real asset to the community.

Our Collier schools are “A” rated thanks to the work of our top-notch educators. Make sure to thank them for all the hard work they put into educating our future citizens.

Tourism is the backbone of our economy, even in the “off” season. People come from far away just to experience a slice of the life we enjoy every day. Still, enjoy these times of lighter traffic while they last, the “diverging diamond” isn’t that far off.

Say “Hello” and spark up a conversation with someone new or old. Call a friend you haven’t made time to talk to in a while.

Make sure to thank our first responders when you see them out and about in our community. They’re the ones who keep us safe and healthy and no one wants to imagine a life without the important work they do.
