I, over the last 45 days, have been asking readers what they are thinking locally, state-wide and nationally.

The following are just a few questions I asked:

• Will all three of those governments (local, state, and federal) work together for the betterment of their constituents?

• Or will they, once again, forget their constituents in favor of fighting amongst themselves as they have been?

• Will Naples Pier ever be whole again? What will happen if or when another hurricane comes through during construction?

• Will rising property insurance rates drive residents away from our city? What can be done to combat this?

• Is our military ready to and capable of protecting our country?

• Can we trust government agencies to not over step their powers and use them against us?

• Is the American Dream no longer attainable? Many under-30’s feel that owning their own home, car, having children, and a job that can pay for all three is a pipe dream that will never come true.

• Has America given up on organized religion?

• Will there be a New World Order?

The only question I asked everyone was:
The Roman Empire lasted 1,000 years; America will only be 249 years old this year, is it capable of making it to 1,000 years
too?
