City Election: Have they spoken by voting, or Have they spoken by not voting?

The masses have decided either with their vote or by not voting in this past city election.

You say to yourself what do you mean by this contradicting statement?

How can those voting and not voting have the same effect?

Rounding the numbers off we find the following: 18,000 registered voters in the City of Naples 8,800 voted; 9,200 did not vote.

Research and history tell us the following:

When people are upset with something, they are interested in getting their point across to others to try to change whatever is upsetting them. They VOTE

When people are really happy about something they will make their feelings known to others to make sure what is making them happy continues. They VOTE

Those who believe overall everything is going along and in control they do NOT VOTE!

The three newly elected Council members and the newly re-elected Mayor have a very strong signal being sent to them by the citizens of the City of Naples.

They can take the amount of votes they each received and add 9,200 to that number.

Now, what do I mean by that? Again, rounding numbers, let’s say Candidate 1 received 4,000 actual votes. Add to that the 9,200 from those who did not vote, as mentioned above, Candidate 1, in their mind, has an overwhelming mandate of 13,200 citizens who like how they govern the City!
