NCH and Northwestern Medicine Collaboration Continues and Expands – Achieving Major Milestones

Ongoing collaboration continues to expand world-class cancer care and education in Southwest Florida.

Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) and Northwestern Medicine celebrate significant progress since launching their cancer care collaboration in October 2024. The collaboration continues to expand access to advanced oncology services and education in Southwest Florida.

Over the past year, NCH has introduced enhanced cancer screening, patient navigation programs, and most recently a new academic affiliation with Northwestern Medicine. NCH faculty and more than 80 residents and fellows in NCH’s Graduate Medical Education program now benefit from expanded educational resources, faculty development, and advanced training, mentorship, and research opportunities within Northwestern Medicine’s academic medical education program.

Other key milestones achieved this past year include:

• Jim and Fran McGlothlin Outpatient Infusion Center – Offering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments in a new patient-centered environment with private bays and advanced technology.

• Gynecologic Oncology Clinic – Led by NCH physician Ed Grendys, MD, who holds a faculty appointment at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the new clinic will provide local access to subspecialty care, clinical research, and advanced treatments for women’s cancers.

Both organizations are nationally recognized for quality: Northwestern Medicine is home to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, one of only 57 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation, while NCH has been named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades.
